Priceless Education at a Public School Price
There’s nothing we wouldn’t do for our kids. But with the cost of living skyrocketing every year, it can be quite a challenge to make the budget work. US government statistics project that the cost of raising a child till age 17 now cost upwards of $250,000 with nearly $50,000 of that going towards education.
There’s no investment more valuable than a superior education for our children – but it’s becomes increasingly difficult to afford.
There is a solution.
Established in 2012 by the Virginia General Assembly, a Virginia Tax Credit scholarship program gives access to private school education at a fraction of the cost. The best part is that you don’t have to be living hand-to-mouth to qualify. If your household income is up to 300% of the federal poverty guidelines, you are eligible. For example, a family of four earning up to $72,750 or a family of six earning up to $97,710 qualify.
RTA is proud to be an active participant in this program, with more than twenty of our families currently enrolled. What makes RTA a great choice goes far beyond the price tag. Since 1966, RTA has created a nurturing environment that makes sure academic excellence is within each student’s reach. Smaller class sizes mean children get the individualized attention they need. Additionally, the curriculum is designed to encourage a child’s curiosity, develop logical skills and analytical reasoning from day one of his or her educational journey. Our students routinely outperform their public school counterparts on nationally standardized tests, and our alumni excel in the finest high school programs and universities.
Academics are important, but so is nurturing the well-being of each child. RTA is unique in its push for an inclusive environment that boasts families from all backgrounds – whether orthodox, conservative, reform or unaffiliated. The diversity of our kids is part of what makes RTA special.
